Pakistan Women’s captain Sana Mir has
always led from the front, and has turned the side into one of the most
formidable units in the world. Her off-spinners and useful contributions
with bat down the order have taken Pakistan a long way. They are one of
the firm favourites to win the ICC World T20 2016 and after beating
West Indies Women in their opening match, the team will surely be oozing
with confidence for the remaining matches. Sana has led Pakistan Women
in 62 Women’s T20Is out of a total of 64 matches since 2009. She has
lead Pakistan to great heights during her tenure as captain.
Sana led Pakistan to a Gold Medal in 2010
Asian Games. She not only flourished as a player, but she has let the
others too come up the ranks. She is the eighth-ranked bowler in Women’s
ODI ranking, and has consistently been in the top 20 of Women’s T20I
rankings for the past nine years.
Sana Mir will be hopeful to lead Pakistan Women to a win the ICC Women World T20 2016.
