This is the first occasion when West Indies ladies have won WT20 crown. In the final match, they defeated Australia by 8 wickets to become champions.
For scoring 246 runs in the ICC Women’s world t20 2016 and taking 8 wickets, West Indies women captain Stafaine Taylor was named player of the tournament.
